Performing Arts Workshop has been recognized by Philanthropedia as one of the top 21 high-impact nonprofits in the arts and culture field in the Bay Area!  We were ranked #16 by 127 regional experts working in the field.

Philanthropedia is a nonprofit (funded by the Hewlett Foundation) that tries to help donors give more strategically by surveying large groups of experts (foundation professionals, nonprofit senior staff, academics, researchers, etc.) and asking them to identify some of the highest-impact nonprofits working in their sector. Experts have on average 10-20 years of experience. (Please note that experts cannot “vote” for their own organization.)

The most highly recommended nonprofits are bundled into an “Expert Fund” (like a mutual fund). By giving through Philanthropedia’s innovative funds, donors can donate to an entire group of top-nonprofits, pooling their resources with others to maximize their impact and to diversify their giving across a cause they care about.
