In honor of National Poetry month, the Workshop offers up these haiku based poems.

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones

There is only one
kind of movement choice that’s made,
until the artist.

Students stretching arms,
laughter bursts in the classroom-
how art makes us grow.

A crisp striking hand.
The drum beat answering back.
Children leap, then – still.
