A lot of people point out that I’m quiet outside of class. I don’t really talk. I tend to keep my ideas to myself because it’s just who I am. I let ideas wander through my mind. For my self-portrait I wrote the first thing that came to mind. In my Flowers For Algernon poster I used imagination as one of my keywords. In my mind, the connotation of imagination is freedom. I cut out images of water, ships, and a sunset to carry out a theme of imagination/ freedom. To me, Charlie was finally free after the surgery. He was able to think for himself and get lost in his own world when he read. When people see my images I want them to think about what was going through my head. Making them made me realize that one key detail is all it takes to make something stand out.
